In 2003 Texas County Food Pantry became a provider for The Commodity
Supplemental Food Program, a program administered by Ozarks Food
Harvest with food provided by the USDA Food and Nutrition Services.
This program works to improve the nutrition and health of low-income
individuals 60 years or older by supplementing their diets with USDA
foods, but is limited by the number of boxes available. Texas
County Food Pantry is currently allocated 256 boxes per month.
